What is The Best Body Scrub For Dry Skin

Body scrubs are essential any time of year. Whether it’s the dryness of winter, or the constant exposure to sun, surf and sand adding a scrub to your routine can help to keep your dry skin.

Winter’s coming, and that means dry, flaky, itchy, irritated skin but it’s not hopeless. There are a range of the best body scrubs for dry skin, each of them designed to give you glowing skin even in the harshest, driest winter weather. What are these miracle scrubs, and where can you find them? I’ve put together a list of my own favorites to share with you. Here are the best body scrubs for dry skin.

When winter has your skin feeling dry and irritable, you will find that a nice body scrub can help lift up your spirits and make your skin feel better. With cool breeze, a soothing weather, lots of fun and Christmas, winter also brings the problems of dry skin, cracked heels and chapped lips. When you go through certain home care remedies, your main concentration is mainly to focus on your face. The winter season is one of the most difficult times of the year to keep your skin moisturized. This is due to reasons like colder temperatures and lower amounts of humidity, this tends to dry out skin.

Best Body Scrubs for Dry Skin

Lemon & Sage Body Scrub

Lemon & Sage Body Scrub (£30), by Bliss, is quite distinctive as it should be used pre-shower. Bliss recommends to massage it onto dry skin and then wash it, which is said to recreate “the experience and effects” of its spa’s eponymous body treatment. Texture-wise, it’s creamy white, and it has a lovely scent its formula includes beeswax, propolis and hops extracts and stearic acid.

Candy Cane Salt Body Scrub

This is my all-time favorite of the best body scrubs for dry skin. It’s so refreshing! Apply to dry skin and watch as the sea salt in the scrub gently sloughs away dry, flaky skin to reveal the soft skin you knew was there all along, even on your knees and elbows.

Seaweed Salt Scrub

The Seaweed Salt Scrub (£18.50), by Neal’s Yard Remedies, perfectly exfoliates, tones and moisturises the skin. Its formula is enriched with seaweed extract, pumice, and avocado, grapefruit, ginger, frankincense, lemon and black pepper essential oils. Neal’s Yard Remedies recommends to use it once a week and to avoid delicate areas it’s suitable for all skin types as all its ingredients are from natural origin.

Sugar and Olive Oil Scrub

Whisk together 2 tbsp. olive oil, 2 tbsp. sweet almond oil, 1/2 cup white cane sugar and 1-3 drops lavender essential oil in a bowl and then pour this mixture into a container with an airtight lid. It should last 2-3 weeks if kept away from water. Use a tablespoon scoop to dish out a few dollops once or twice a week, scrub, and rinse for a healthy skin.

Cocoa Butter Body Scrub

If you’re a chocolate lover, then this is the body scrub for dry skin, for you! It’s got a rich chocolate scent, and it’s made with ground rice and almond shell powder to gently exfoliate your skin care. I love Body Shop scrubs because they’re guilt-free, made with organic, fair-trade ingredients.

Shea Butter Body Scrub

The Body Shop’s Shea Butter Body Scrub (£13 per 200ml) gently exfoliates. It also stimulates microcirculation, and leaves the skin feeling pleasantly softer. Its formula blends shea butter, sunflower seed, soybean and castor oils, rosemary extract and tocopherol (vitamin E), and it has a subtle, amusing scent.
